WHATS BEEN HAPPENING?:
Best weather in New Zealand again this weekend, we were really busy supplying the southland gardeners. Everyone is extra keen on their vege patches this year with the increase in food prices what better than to grow your own. Seed potatoes planted now will give you an early crop and some for christmas dinner. Peas and Beans can go in now. They are sold as seed or we do have plants which give you a months head start. Same with the seed potatoes, we sell them trayed and already sprouted for an early crop. New in the shop today, mini gardens produced by Niche and Mr Fothergills seeds. These are great for kids or people with limited space and great fun to watch them grow. Best buys are the open ground trees at Lorneville, Bundles of 3 or 5 prunus, malus, acers (great ornamental specmens) Still available are shelter trees, bare rooted poplars, willows and seedling macrocarpa and pines. We also have kitset raised garden beds. We are also now stockists of Ceder garden sheds, so it's all new at diacks.
