Week 1: January Gardening
Flowers to sow in January – Feverfew
This flower is well worth growing, not just because of its
mound of attractive, finely cut leaves dotted with daisies flowers, but
because it’s renowned for providing natural relief from headaches and
fever.
Vegies to sow in January – Dwarf Beans
Sow beans this month while there’s still plenty of time for them to
develop an autumn crop. Yates Tendergreen will continue producing
fresh, tasty beans until late in the season and Yates Freezer Slims is
another long-cropping variety that keeps well on the plant, allowing
the pods to be harvested in batches.

years there’s no doubt that cycads are some of the most ancient plants
we grow in our gardens.

hard to keep the lawn in good condition. Here are some of the most
common problems.

concreted patches or on an existing lawn. Just remember, if you are
building your bed on concrete, you’ll need a layer of sticks or other
coarse material on the base to ensure that the water can drain away.
